Ruto Is Responsible For Abductions- Jimi Wanjigi

Wanjigi accused the Head of State of misusing the country’s security agencies to satisfy his political agenda.

Businessman and Safina Party leader, Jimi Wanjigi has deemed President William Ruto responsible for the alleged police abductions, despite the latter claiming that he was not aware of any Kenyan who the country’s security agencies reportedly abducted during or after the recent spate of anti-government protests countrywide.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, September 3, Wanjigi accused the Head of State of misusing the country’s security agencies to satisfy his political agenda.

“For the avoidance of doubt, President Ruto is solely responsible for the abductions, enforced disappearances and murdering of the young people of this country- the Gen Z.

“He has turned police into his political militia. Kenyans must never forget Ruto was a suspect at the International Criminal Court (ICC),” Wanjigi stated, leaving nothing to chance.

The renowned business mogul reminded the President that he took an oath of office to protect Kenyans and defend the constitution, which he has been accused of violating.

Wanjigi went on to accuse Ruto of “hypocritically mocking, laughing and demeaning the abducted, disappeared and murdered sons and daughters of this country and their loved who are painfully crying daily”, further likening his rule to that of some of the world’s most notorious dictators.

“The only crime they have committed is exercising their constitutional and democratic right peacefully and unarmed. We must never yield to Ruto tyranny.

“President Ruto’s cruelty, brutality and dictatorship can only be compared to that of Adolf Hitler, Slobodan Milosevic, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Omar Al Bashir among other such sadistic despots,” he added.

Wanjigi went on to assure those Kenyans abducted or disappeared as well as their families that they will never be forgotten, terming them true freedom fighters, heroes and heroines of the country.

“Forgetting you is rejecting our own identity; forgetting is to renounce the meaning our life has; forgetting is to make our beloved ones get abducted or disappear again. We will keep the memory of our abducted, disappeared or murdered alive forever.

“Forgetting them is allowing the perpetrator Ruto to achieve his goal of erasing our loved ones from this earth. By continuing to demand justice, we relive their memory. The abducted, disappeared or murdered shall live forever,” Wanjigi assured.

President Ruto had decried that he was not aware of any Kenyan who the country’s security agencies reportedly abducted during or after the recent spate of anti-government protests across the nation.

During the town hall meeting in Kisumu on August 29, Ruto instructed Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo, who was also present, to take up the matter and ensure that the cases were followed to the letter and the missing individuals found.

The outspoken politician meanwhile drew nationwide attention after police raided his home in Muthaiga on August 8, with authorities accusing him of funding the recent Nane Nane protests, amidst calls by Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli to him to surrender himself to any police station.
