Revealed What Ruto Is Planning To Do As Vengeance Against Kenyans Opposing The Financial Bill

The Azimio La Umoja group asserts that President William Ruto and his administration intend to punish Kenyans for opposing the Finance Bill 2023.

The Azimio leadership has been leading its supporters in opposing the bill because, according to them, it will make Kenyans’ already heavy tax burden even worse.

According to Azimio, Kenya Kwanza intends to impose higher Value Added Tax (VAT) in retaliation for Kenyans’ attempts to obstruct the imposition of more levies.

The coalition, however, has committed to prevent this from happening and has pledged to do everything in its power to maintain the current situation and prevent any changes.

Now, the coalition wants Kenyans to demonstrate their support for its initiative by turning up in huge numbers on the last day.

“We urgently call to all Kenyans to stand as one once again because we were together during the finance bill. Kenya Kwanza now plans to raise VAT as punishment but we won’t let their VAT increase plan see the light of the day. Let’s show our strength and come out in great numbers,” it said on Friday.

Azimio boss Raila Odinga on Thursday defended his absence in the Wednesday and Thursday demos, saying that he has been unwell hence the no show.

He, however, said that today’s protests will be the biggest of the three days, again suggesting that according to Azimio’s observations, the demos have been a success so far.

“Leo ni semi finale. Itaingia kwenye finale kesho (today was just the semis, tomorrow will be the finals),” said the opposition leaders.

But Ruto and Gachagua have dismissed this narrative, saying that the demos largely flopped and praising the police for crushing the riots.
