Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii evoked mixed reactions after meeting Mama Sarah Samoei at his office.
The two were said to have discussed issues regarding the development of the county.On the other hand, the governor was praised for engaging Mama Sarah to enhance services in the county.The residents, nonetheless, highlighted more issues that needed to be addressed, arguing that some were entrenched in the governor’s manifesto.Among the grievances raised was improving the welfare of the boda boda sector.
During the event, journalists from different media houses had shown up to cover the development, among them, Zipporah Achieng, a female videographer of a national TV station.
As the event proceeded, the 21-year-old dressed in a grey bodycon reaching slightly above her knees, braved long hours to get the best shots for news.
Unaware of what was going to happen, Achieng kept her eye on the camera, only for Mama Sarah, manifesting motherly warmth, wrapped a blue Maasai shuka around the curvy contours of the young scribe to conceal her lower body.
President William Ruto owes his meteoric rise in politics to the discipline instilled in him by his mother, Mrs Sarah Cheruiyot.
Dr Ruto is on record saying his mother’s humble and God-fearing nature nurtured his ambition to succeed in the murky world of politics and in the unpredictable business sphere.
Dr Ruto’s father, Daniel Cheruiyot, who was a farmer in the now Uasin Gishu County, passed away in 2008. He and Mrs Cheruiyot had six children – three boys and three girls.
