Raila Odinga & his Azimio principals have taken a new turn to drop their fight with President William Ruto who has been the real initiator of the ongoing Azimio demonstrations.

While speaking to the media, Azimio called upon the United Nations to assist in probing the ongoing police brutality during Azimio’s demonstrations.

Azimio’s team revealed that they are currently collecting evidence showing how anti-riot police officers are manhandling Azimio’s protesters instead of protecting them.

The opposition team led by Raila Odinga is collecting evidence to petition anti-riot police officers & they are seeking backup from the UN.

The human rights council is an entity in the UN that is mandated to protect the rights of every single person in UN nations.

Azimio reiterated that their rights to demonstrate & picket allowed by article 37 of the constitution have been violated by the anti-riot police officers.

Amid Azimio’s threats to petition the anti-riot police officers, the inspector general of police Japhet Koome has dispatched numerous anti-riot police officers in the Nyanza region ahead of Wednesday’s demonstrations.

According to the intelligence report, 8 police officers were injured by the chaotic demonstrators specifically from Homa Bay County.
