Azimio leader Raila Odinga was today forced to temporarily pause his speech after the crowd he was addressing at his Siaya home turf bursted into anti-Ruto Chants after he made an announcement concerning the SabaSaba protests.

Raila was speaking during a Public Baraza at Asango Trading Centre, Sigomre Ward, Siaya County, when he hit out at William Ruto’s regime over the high cost of living in the country.

Raila claimed that President William Ruto’s regime is trying to take back the country to the Nyayo regime, claiming that the government have failed to listen to Kenyans over the increasing cost of living.

“Nyayo tried but I defeated him, so can Ruto defeat me?” Raila posed.
