Top government officials including Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, Transport cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen now risk being fired by the head of state and government president William Ruto as he is under pressure to fire some of his close allies following the nationwide blackout that has been witnessed in the country on Friday and Saturday.
This comes after the ruling party’s allies including the Majority leader in the senate Cherargei called on the president to take immediate action against top government officials including ministers over the shame that the country experienced following the nationwide blackout.
This even as the energy CS Davis Chirchir assures the country that everything is now under control as he apologies over the longest kind of blackout that has never been seen in the country for the past ten years. This as even the people of Kenya hopes that everything is now back to normalcy following the blackout.
