In the past few days, Kenyans have been raising questions about the reemergence of the controversial BBI document amid the ongoing Azimio-Kenya Kwanza bipartisan talks.
This comes at a time that the popular lawyer, Patrick Limumba among other groups of people have promised to collect one million signatures from Kenyans with an aim to push for a referendum in the near future.
Meanwhile, amid the referendum push, a video depicting the former president Uhuru Kenyatta predicting the future fate of BBI has emerged. In the video, the ex-president could be seen confidently assuring the public that the push for implementation of BBI contents wasn’t stopped and that it will be brought back in the future.
“Although it encountered some legal obstacles, I want to say that BBI is just a dream deferred. One day, some day, it will happen.” Uhuru could be heard noting.
Uhuru’s message at the time came after the court issued an order to stop further implementation of the contents of the BBI documents amid illegalities in the process of it’s making.
