The station did not however reveal the exact date the show would start airing again.
On Monday, June 24, NTV announced the return of the popular Churchill Show after two years of being away from the station.
The announcement followed a meeting with comedian Churchill Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill and the Nation Media Group (NMG), with the TV station revealing that the return was informed by massive requests from the audience.
“The wait is over, Kenya! The legendary Churchill Show is making its grand return after years of requests from you, the fans! We heard you loud and clear, and we’re bringing back the side-splitting comedy, and hilarious sketches you love,” NTV announced.
“Get ready for a new season of pure entertainment, stay tuned.”

The station did not however reveal the exact date the show would start airing again. Ndambuki was also yet to state his reasons for returning to the regional media house or details of the new partnership.
However, he was seen posing with the new contract alongside other officials from the media house and comedian Jasper Muthomi alias MC Jessy.
The announcement was met with excitement from Kenyans who asked the comedian to include other upcoming artists and offer a platform to nurture talent.
Ndambuki was also urged to introduce new strategies to include unique performances and new ones to attract a wider audience, especially the young generation.
NTV pulled the plug on Churchill Show in February 2022 after streaming it to audiences for 15 years either during recorded sessions during the weekend or live shows on special occasions.
The show, through the parent company Laugh Industries, partnered with Cape Media. After the migration, the show was recorded at Mount Kenya University (MKU) in March before the show was officially relaunched on TV47.
Reports then claimed that the partnership between the show and NTV had failed after the two parties did not agree on the cost of production.
It was believed that the comedian was using equipment from another company to shoot the show leading to the disagreement.
Churchill Show hosts different stand-up comedians and experts in different fields. Some renowned comedians have graced the TV show including Eric Omondi, MC Jessy, the late Fred Omondi, Eddie Butita, Eunice Mammito, Nasra Yusuf, Chipukeezy and Sleepy David among others.
