The deputy president praised Kenya Kwanza MP for defeating Azimio lawmakers to pass the contentious Finance Bill 2023.
Gachagua recalled how he warned the opposition that the bill would be passed despite Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party holding demonstrations.
The 2023 finance bill had brought out a heated debate with even some kenya kwanza leaders like Githunguri Mp, and Gathoni Wamucomba voting no for the bill. This is because they alleged it will burden Kenyans who are still suffering due to a high cost of living.
With the passage of the bill, the president assured Kenyans job opportunities with the housing program, which will create jobs for hundreds of unemployed youths.
The president was confident that the bill will pass and from the taxes collected, the nation will be able to service its debts and soon the cost of living will go down, and life returns to normal.
