These are the news items making headlines across major dailies in the country today.

In the Standard, it’s all about Raila’s speech to the international media yesterday where he spoke of his issues with the President and the government of the day. Raila pointed out that he had an issue with the rising cost of living. He pointed out that Kenyans were united by the high cost of living and this was irregardless of the political affiliation that they were in. This comes after a series of demonstrations in the country experienced last week and the one before.

Also, on President Ruto’s pardon to Mr Koech who was put in custody in 2021. Koech had been sentenced to a six year term, but has now been freed by the President along side other people.

In Taifa Leo, Raila now plan’s to build a half billion shilling hotel at the coast. The land that the hotel was to be built on is said to have been contested until a decision was made. And Raila Odinga now says that the country is not at a right place adding that he weeps for his country. He has promised that he would do what it takes to ensure that the cost of living goes down. This even as he maintained that he was not interested in sharing the government with Mr William Ruto.Raila lamented yesterday that the country was now being governed dictatorially by the current head.

Also, another woman who constantly sent threatening messages to the late Sharon was highlighted.Sharon is said to have had three children from different father’s and it’s now not clear who in particular sent those threatening messages.
