The National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangla and Super CS Musalia Mudavadi have been urged to come to CS Ababu Namwamba’s aid after a series of unfortunate events following the latest attack from Kenya’s Kwanza government allies.
Gladys Boss Shollei, a female representative from Uasin Gishu; Samson Cherargei, a senator from Nandi; and Kimani Ichung’wah, the majority leader of the National Assembly (Kikuyu Constituency), are among those who have voiced their displeasure with Namwamba’s actions while serving as the cabinet secretary.
Ms. Shollei criticised Mr. Namwamba earlier on Tuesday morning for the difficulties that Kenyan athletes have had at the present World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
“This is something I feel very strongly about, coming from Uasin Gishu, where most of the athletes come from. It’s very painful. I listen to them. Every time they’ve landed home—from the Boston and London Marathons—they’ve come to my home here in Kitisuru, where I hosted them because no Cabinet Secretary or anyone else was there for them. If you look at my Facebook page, I’ve hosted them for breakfast, they’ve sat through lunch, and they’ve told me their challenges. When they tell you the horror stories of what happens to them, Shollei said.
Popular blogger Pauline Njoroge has asked Wetangula and Mudavadi to save Namwamba from recent attacks. She further notices that the CS will outshine the rest in terms of performance.
