MP Wanjala Blasts Media After Alleging What Busia Residents Did To Uganda Army Officer

Honourable Raphael Wanjala Member of Parliament for Busia has expressed strong disapproval of the media’ s coverage of recent incidents in the region, accusing them of not properly reporting the events that occurred during the anti- government protests in Busia. In a recent statement, Wanjala claimed that Busia residents were killed during the protests and revealed that one Ugandan army officer also lost his life during the clashes.

Wanjala criticized the media for what he perceived as a lack of transparency and accuracy in reporting the events that unfolded in the region. According to the MP, the situation in Busia escalated when Kenyan police officers conducted house- to- house searches, leading to clashes between the residents and the authorities.

Wanjala claimed that the residents, feeling threatened by the police’ s actions, decided to fight back, resulting in the tragic death of one Ugandan army officer. He further alleged that the deceased officer was among the Kenyan police officers who had stormed the homes of Busia’ s residents.
