To honour the tenets of public participation, the lawyer through his X account, created a poll with ‘I support’ and ‘I oppose’ to allow Kenyans to express their suggestions in real time.

“We propose this name ‘Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party,’” Kebaso remarked.

He didn’t stop there. Kebaso went a step ahead to propose the official party colours, suggesting green and gold as the party’s colours but opened the floor for Kenyans to suggest colours of their own.

“Party colours I suggest Green and Gold. Green for fresh growth and Gold for a prosperous future. Comment below for alternative ideas,” he stated.

On Wednesday, September 18, Morara revealed that he would pay the fees required to register the party, even though he claimed that the Registrar of Political Parties declined to ratify his new party because it was divisive on age demographics.

“Tomorrow I will pay Ksh100,000 registration fees for our party to be registered. Once we register, everyone should plug in from their region and participate in the registration of members. We will also elect officials properly,” Kebaso said.

This came on the same day he was embroiled in an online row with his fellow social media influencer, Mercy Tarus over the ‘Kenya ni Home’ slogan. The duo who lead different civic education groups have been using the slogan in recent weeks, but the pair differed on who has the right to use the slogan.

“We agree on something, you go ahead and do the opposite and act ignorant. We might be facing the same enemy but our reasons differ,” Tarus commented, adding “There is no such thing as a Messiah in this thing. It is a collective effort. Kenya Ni Home and home must be respected!”

The row even attracted influential personalities such as Miguna Miguna who agreed with Tarus calling out Morara for taking advantage of her slogan.

Further, Morara’s plans to start a political party have drawn some questions and criticism, with many wondering if he was aiming for a political seat too soon, having just gathered momentum with his civic education campaigns and with the 2027 general elections on the horizon.
