“Due to security reasons, I have cancelled my Mount Kenya tour of stalled projects where money has been stolen. The tour was to start tomorrow morning,” he stated.

“Intelligence briefs reaching me indicate serious infiltration by state operatives by persons coming as well-wishers and persons of goodwill. I will announce the next move.”

Morara did not make it clear if he would resume his planned tour at a later date or if he would focus on something else. This came a day after he showcased a Toyota Prado which he acquired to travel across the country to further his Civic Education efforts on good governance.

Kebaso announced that he would embark on a civic education across the country starting September 6 when he was to meet Kenyans, particularly from the Mt. Kenya region.

“Mount Kenya Delaunch Caravan Starts on Friday 6th. Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Isiolo. Meet Up Point is National Oil Kenyatta University Next to Unicity Mall. As usual make sure you budget for your fuel/fare, food and upkeep,” he announced.

He noted that the campaign was aimed at sensitizing Kenyans on the truth and to engage the public on how to make quality decisions at the ballot.

Meanwhile, in response to Morara’s rampant exposés, Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura revealed that the government would carry out a nationwide inspection to inspect the development projects initiated by President William Ruto amid reports of ghost project launches.

Mwaura, who addressed the media on Thursday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, stated that the process will involve officials from the Office of the President who will be tasked with conducting a comprehensive assessment of the projects.

He added that while the government supported the freedom of expression from those who had hit out at the government over the said projects, he urged the people exercising the same to act with patriotism to the country, appearing to take a swipe at Morara.

The spokesperson added that the inspection will see officials from his office and that of the President visit the projects including those in remote areas to ascertain whether those are abandoned or lagging despite budgetary allocations.

“We will ensure that what is on paper and what we discuss here in Nairobi is actually happening on the ground,” Mwaura stated.

The spokesperson also admitted that the inspection will be conducted in response to the uproar expressed on social media. The inspection is also aimed at clarifying differing evidence provided on actual projects and the record the government holds.

“There are claims that the reality on the ground differs from the official narrative and we must address this perception,” he added.

Morara became a sensation on TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) for mimicking President William Ruto with his near-perfect impersonation before transitioning to actively verifying government projects across the country.

His personal inspection of government projects across the country exposed the shocking revelations of some projects that were allegedly abandoned or allocated funds and not completed, causing an uproar which saw Kenyans turn on the Kenya Kwanza government despite issuing clarifications on the matter.
