The political differences between Meru Governor Hon. Kawira Mwangaza and Meru elected leaders have today ended tragically even after the leaders resolved to end the conflicts and work together for the prosperity of Meru County.
Taking to her social media timeline this night, Meru Governor Hon Kawira Mwangaza has confirmed the injury of her political advisor Lawrence Mutwiri after a clash with unknown individuals in Muthara, Meru County. Speaking over the attack, Mwangaza has condemned the attack as she drags the Tigania East MP Mpuru Aburi to Fracas. According to Mwangaza, it is Hon. Aburi who allegedly sent goons to attack her advisor who is now nursing injuries at Muthara hospital.
In a viral video shared online from the scene of the drama, Lawrence was saved by police who quickly whisked him away after goons started descending on him during the installation of the new Muthara Chief event in Muthara. 
According to sources, Lawrence Mutwiri was representing his boss Governor Mwangaza at the event and was denied to address the audience for allegedly coming late. This however agitated the advisor leading to the fracas that left him injured.
This attack on a senior county official comes amidst the ongoing differences between Governor Mwangaza and a section of the elected leaders in Meru.
