It’s rare for most politicians to walk their talk especially when it comes to development of their constituency. But Mathioya MP, Hon. Dr. Edwin Mugo decided to use his first time in office well.
Hon. Mugo has launched and completed various projects in his first ten months in office. On Friday, the legislature announced completion of the upgrade of Karui-Mwenjwa-Kariko road.
He said this was in line with his agenda to improve transport infrastructure throughout Mathioya Constituency. Mugo declared that the upgrade will allow the roads passable by vehicles and open the area for farming business.
He also said this new road in Lower Kiru is among the 12 roads in the three wards marked for an upgrade by his office.
Mugo has declared that his primary objective is to fulfill the promises he gave to Mathioya residents, and good roads is among them.
The MP on Friday, while announcing the completion of this project, sent an important message to his constituents. He asked them to remain patient and trust the process so that they can enjoy development in their doorsteps.
On Thursday, the MP joined his counterpart, Kiharu MP Hon. Ndindi Nyoro to launch Mugeka-Gakurwe-Kiriaini Road. A few weeks ago, he declared that Mathioya National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) set aside Sh62 million to rehabilitate roads in the constituency in collaboration with Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA).
