Kenyan comedian Mulamwah and his girlfriend, Ruth K, have announced that they are expecting their first child together a month after their traditional wedding ceremony.
Ruth took to her Instagram page to post a series of baby bump photos accompanied by a heartfelt message addressed to their unborn child.
“First came love, love that created a new life, a blessing that fills us with joy and delight. Creating life is the best feeling🤗❤️ you are already loved. Can’t wait to meet you,” she expressed.
Mulamwah, too, joined and shared photos from the maternity photo shoot that also feature him side by side.
“Blessing on blessings,” he shared.
Early last month, the two who have been inseparable since Mulamwah’s breakup with his baby mama Carrol Sonie, hinted at being with child on their socials.
Mulamwah took to his Instagram story to reveal that Ruth had been vomiting during morning hours, a classic pregnancy symptom.
“Bestie amekua akitapika tapika ma asubui asubui ivi. Shida inaweza kua nini?” he wrote.
Loosely translated, “Bestie has been vomiting in the mornings like this. What could be the problem?”
Ruth also chimed in on the strategic announcement by posting a similar message on her Instagram story.
“Natapika tapika ma asubui asubui ivi, an kuchoka choka, shida inaweza kua nini (I’ve been vomiting in the mornings like this, feeling tired, what could be the problem)?”
Mulamwah, Ruth K relationship
The two often refer to each other as besties.
Mulamwah introduced Ruth K as a close friend shortly after his highly publicized breakup with his baby mama, Carol Sonnie.
The comedian’s relationship with Sonnie ended shortly after the birth of their daughter, Kayla.
In a previous interview, Mulamwah revealed that the breakup was initiated by Sonnie, who demanded a lifestyle that he could not afford to provide at the time.
“Niliwachwa kwanza, nikarudiwa kukakuwa an issues tena ndio pia mimi nikasema niondoke. Ile Wakati tulirudiana nilijaribu kufuatilia kujaribu kutengeneza mambo na wakati huo yeye alishaamua anataka kukaa poa na mimi sikuwa sawa, sasa niliamua kuondoka,” Mulamwa explained.
Mulamwah visits Ruth’s home
In light of their pregnancy tease, the duo held a traditional ceremony at Ruth’s home that was later said to be a traditional wedding.
Mulamwah shared a snippet of the event where they were seen performing a traditional dance.
“First time visiting bestie at their home, was welcomed well. Thanks @atruthk bestie🤗♥️🤣🤣,” he wrote.
