“Kwaheri ODM” Big Blow For Raila As ODM Governor Is Set To Azimio For UDA

Raila Odinga Azimio supporters have joined President William Ruto’s Kenyan Kwanza Party. Phelix Oduor alias Jalang’o, Lang’ata Member of Parliament Evans Kidero, and Kisumu Senator Tom Ojienda are among them. The president frequently kidnaps Odinga’s close allies and transports them to Nyanza, Raila Odinga’s stronghold. 

The president met with the new leader of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in Nyanza. 

This follows Dr. William Ruto’s appeal for Kisii governor Simba Arati to abandon Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and join the United Democratic Alliance (UDA). The UDA leader credited his political success to his decision to leave the previous prime minister’s ODM party. As a result, he instructed Arati to accompany him, leaving Odinga behind. Governor Kisii will be admitted to the presidential party in advance of the 2027 elections.
