The former police spokesman Charles Owino has revealed that demostrations are threatening the economy in the country. He was keen to note that police officers were accused of brutality but their work in guarding the country against attacks cannot be recognised.
He went ahead to reveal that police officers can shoot at anyone if their life is under threat. He was keen to note that the peaceful protestors were throwing stones which left some of the officers with brutal wounds.
The police were forced to shoot and scare away the crowds to prevent more injuries to their colleagues.
