Kikuyu Member of Parliament cum President William Ruto’s hardliner, Kimani Ichungwa raising to the occasion during a stopover in Kiambu Town stired the crowd into chants. This is after what he said about Raila regarding the ongoing talks between Azimio and the Kenya Kwanza Movement in a bid to bring a truce between the two groups in Infront of President Ruto.
Ruto had toured the region to grace a church event. When he made an impromptu stopover to acknowledge the presence of locals who arrived in large numbers to accord him a warm departure.
The Majority leader in parliament, Kimani Ichungwa pointed out in what seemed as an assurance to both Mt. Kenya Locals and President Ruto that the ongoing dialogue is not about bringing a handshake between Raila and President Ruto.
But it is a dialogue to see how the Raila-led Azimio movement will caese violent protests and demonstrations. Ask ing residents whether they are of the idea of a handshake. They answered back with hapana chants.
