Kenyans React As US Advocacy Threatens Kenya Under President Ruto’s Govt For Not Accepting LGBTQ

The trade relationship between Kenya and The United states has been flourishing with the two countries signing trade deals amongst themselves. However, that might stop if the United States advocacy upholds their stand to force Kenya into accepting and respecting the LGBTQ laws and people. According to the advocacy, President Ruto’s Government should be able to embrace the LGBTQ despite receiving much criticism from Kenyans or face the consequences that involves trade relationship between the two countries.

President William Ruto was categorically against the LGBTQ laws that were suggested a few months ago. The parliament voted against the law prompting a reaction from the international community who have beem in support of the LGBTQ laws. Kenya will have to weigh their options as they have to prptect their trade relationship with the United States. The US advocacy is seeking President Joe Biden to cancel trade relationship with Kenya if the country fails to respect the LGBTQ community.
