Protesters were forced to run for dear lives after Kenya Kwanza affiliated MP elected on Jubilee ticket drew a gun threatening to shoot anyone provoking him.
Nakuru county was in the headlines with unexpected clashes between police and protesters being witnessed. Nakuru west constituency was the most affected with areas like Shabaab , Kaptembwa seeing all roads leading to town closed.
The area MP Samwuel Arama went to address the protestors in Shabaab. His presence quickly attracted a multitude, the angry legislator questioned police on why they were not shooting those destroying other people’s properties. Then he drew his gun vowing to do the job himself.
“Why do you allow people destroy other people’s properties, you have guns why are you not using them , I will do the job for you then if you don’t know how to,” Arama said.
The controversial MP was then spotted walking around with his gun showing this forcing those around to rush for safety.
Azimio called for nationwide protests and calls for unnecessary use of force by police has been a concern. Other regions saw the protests with police trying to counter the protests.
