Kalonzo Realizes What Ruto Is Already Doing, Pleads With Kisii Residents To Stand With Raila

Azimio la Umoja team led by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Sunday attended a church service at Ichuni Parish Catholic church in Kisii County.

This marks the third day of Odinga’s stay in his Nyanza backyard following his arrival in that part of the country on Friday afternoon.

Odinga’s visit is seen a as a push to take back his bastions that President William Ruto is reportedly snatching ahead of 2027 polls.

The team made a stop at Magena market for a meet and greet session with Kisii residents before they proceeded to church.

Speaking in Magena market, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka noted that the ruling alliance has already embarked in serious campaign, barely one year into the office.

Kalonzo says that the President and his team are now doing about 20 campaigns per day anytime they hear about Raila’s name.

“We will come back because our friends from the other side have began their campaigns. They conduct 20 campaigns in a day because everytime they hear the name of Raila Odinga.”

“We must therefore stand and support Raila Odinga and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya team.” He said.

The Wiper Party leader also heaped praises of the Kisii residents for heeding to opposition calls for anti-government protests in the previous months.

He branded them brave and compared them to Ameru community who have also shown signs of bravery in the past.

In attendance were also governors Simba Arati (Kisii), Gladys Wanga (Homa-Bay), Ochilo Ayako (Migori) among other host of MPs and MCAs from the region.
