Kalonzo appealed that President Ruto’s government ensure that the rogue cops are brought before courts and held criminally liable for the alleged abduction cases.
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday, September 20 urged President William Ruto to get to the bottom of the matter of the recent abductions witnessed across the country.
In a statement on X, the former Vice President blamed the abductions on rogue elements within the National Police Service (NPS) whom he claimed were on a mission to ruin the country’s future.
In his call for action, Kalonzo appealed that President Ruto’s government ensure that the rogue cops are brought before courts and held criminally liable for the alleged abduction cases.
“On behalf of Kenyans, I demand that the rogue police officers responsible for the abductions, kidnappings and executions, be brought before our courts and held criminally liable and responsible for the attempt to diminish, dismember and destroy our beloved Republic’s present and future,” stated the opposition principal.

According to Kalonzo, the Kenya Kwanza administration has for the last two years systematically attempted to limit, abuse, and silence Kenyans’ constitutionally guaranteed rights that are clearly and concisely defined under The Constitution of Kenya.
“Furthermore, with callous and malicious disregard, rogue elements of the KK administration have abducted, kidnapped, and executed Kenyan youth, whose only “crime” was the peaceful exercise of their constitutional rights – guaranteed under Article 37 – to publicly express their displeasure against the multitude of lies, inefficiencies, discrepancies, abuses and excesses perpetuated by an inept regime,” he further claimed.
“These are Crimes against Humanity. These are inexplicable violations of moral and civic responsibilities against Kenyans, Africans and members of the Free and Democratic world. Our Founding Fathers’ and Mothers’ dream and vision of an independent, democratic, progressive and inclusive Republic where every voice, regardless of colour, tribe, or religion, has the right to be heard and listened to, is in peril.”
Kalonzo thus demanded that Ruto accept political and socio-economic responsibility for the brazen atrocities committed against the country’s youth.Â
His remarks come hours after the release of the three men who were in August abducted by unknown individuals in Kitengela, Kajiado County.
According to the President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Faith Odhiambo, the three, Bob Njagi, Jamil Longton and Aslam Longton, who were said to have been abducted in broad daylight and Njagi abducted while onboard a Kitengela-bound matatu, were found in different circumstances.
“I am informed that Jamil Longton and his brother Aslam were dumped at the Gachie border of Kiambu and Nairobi by their captors. Every prayer and intervention made a difference. We thank God that they are safe!” Odhiambo updated.
For Njagi, the LSK boss revealed that he managed to find his way to Tigoni police station for assistance and that he was reported to be alive and well.
