His Excellency President William Ruto has reportedly flew out of Nairobi city and landed in his Rift Valley backyard. Earlier today, the President was at the Kenya International Convention Center (KICC) in Nairobi city attending the International Ushirika Day celebrations.
Reports have now emerged that the Head of State is currently in Keiyo North, Elgeyo Marakwet attending the homecoming ceremony of Principal Secretary for the National Treasury Dr Chris Kiptoo. The event is reported to be more of a thanksgiving ceremony for the PS whose mandate in the Kenya Kwanza government is greatly acknowledged.
The president was accompanied by several high-level leaders including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. He was received by top leaders from the Rift Valley region including Governors, MPs and local political figures.
As usual, the President is likely to address major national issues in the country during the event including unity and progression of the nation with regard to political or regional differences.
