Kenyans were amused by a K24 reporter as he prepared to broadcast live during protests. The journalist appeared anxious and was using a safety helmet that provides defense against tear gas and other flying projectiles like stones.

The reporter, who went by the name of Denis Kagina, practiced his lines numerous times while mimicking an American accent. Kenyans laughingly speculated that he might be an intern in the comments section.
Despite there being police there, the journalist continued to look about and appeared disturbed and uncertain of his safety. Kenyans tend to forget that reporters must rehearse their lines before going live. The K24 journalist was doing his best to avoid making mistakes while reporting because of this.
Protests in different sections of the nation ruined Friday. Azimio supporters in Nairobi fought the police in running battles while firing tear gas. The media merely provided updates following each event, not providing live coverage of the protests.
