Former agriculture cabinets Secretary Mr Peter Munya had posed a question to the Kenya Kwanza led government over their continued accusations against the former President of being responsible for their woes. The Kenya Kwanza side has blamed the previous government of taking a lot of loans that have now reached maturity and so need to be repaid. At the same time, the government has failed to deliver on most of their promises, cutting across cutting the cost of living as they had promised during campaigns.
Peter Munya while speaking today said that it was very normal for a government to take loan’s, as long as it has the capacity to pay. He adds that Uhuru Kenyatta’s government took loans and paid them. As for Kenya Kwanza, they have been selling the narrative that the country cannot continue taking loans as they were likely to land the country into a ditch.He says that we are now finishing a year with Kenya Kwanza in power. He wonder’s, “Is Uhuru still responsible for these problems? Let’s stop blaming other’s.”
