” If You’re Unhappy With Cost Of Living, Go To The Streets And Fight f For It” Says Amisi

In a recent social media post, Kenyan politician Caleb Amisi criticized those who have accused Raila Odinga of abandoning the cost of living. Amisi argued that Odinga has done a lot for Kenya, and that it is time for the youth to take up the mantle and fight for their own interests.

“If you think Raila has abandoned the cost of living, just go to the street yourself and fight for it,” Amisi wrote. “You expect Raila to die for you, get imprisoned for 8 years, fight for multi-partism and the new constitution, fight for devolution and reforms since you were in diapers and now you are married with grandchildren and you still expect him at his age to be chewing teargas on the streets against policies that you voted for?”

Amisi went on to say that Odinga has created an environment for new leaders to emerge, and that it is time for the youth to “grab political power.” He urged the youth to “rise up and do what needs to be done” to address the cost of living and other challenges facing Kenya.
