President William Ruto on 20th August attended a thanksgiving service at Nyanturago stadium in kisii where he was accompanied by his entourage.
However speaking as relayed by Daily News, Kisii senator Richard Onyonka lauded president William Ruto for working hard to change the life of kenyans and as a result, wishing he would be president.
Onyonka as well noted that he has worked with Ruto in several sectors and if one takes a look at their ages, they are of the same age.
” Ningependa kumkaribisha raisi hapa kisii. Nadhani ukiangalia bunge, mimi na wewe miaka ni same. How i wish i was the president “, he said.
Onyonka further called on elected kisii leaders to work together for the sake of kisii residents. He called on kisii governor Simba Arati to lead by example in fostering peace and unity.
His statement comes off following recent conflicts that was experienced in kisii where a faction led by Sylvanus Osoro engaged in a public spat with governor Simba Arati side.
It should be noted that Onyonka is affiliated to Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition and has always been at the frontline in defending any plan taken by the former prime minister Raila Odinga who jetted out of the country yesterday.
Present were Majority whip Silvanus Osoro, education cabinet secretary Ezekiel Machogu, Kimani Ichungwah, James Ongwae and many other leaders.
