President William has sent good news to the Council of Governors Chair Ann Waiguru over County funds. He is clear that today he has disbursed all money to counties and they do now have reasons not to engage in development activities. The president is clear that he has been under pressure from Waiguru and others demanding him to borrow money and give them. President Ruto is clear that his move to pay all counties money today should be louded for he inherited a lot of pending bills from the previous financial year. Ruto is firm that those who have accused him of scuttling County governments through financial constraints do not know the real situation of the country.
Ruto is clear that he inherited a broke country that was on it’s knees when he assumed office as president. He is firm that though he doesn’t want to talk about Uhuru, it’s a fact that Kenya was in very bad state and was in the precipice of collapse.
President Ruto has affirmed that the economy is stabilizing and it’s obvious that his efforts to ensure money for counties is disbursed early will succeed. The president has affirmed that the issue of debts will not happen in his tenure, no matter the financial consequences.
