Former president Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed in an exclusive interview with journalists at his house that for sometime now he has not received his retirement benefits. He said he has been receiving just part of the benefits while others have been retained by the Kenya Kwanza government. He said that some of his staff that he is entitled to by the state have no contracts to serve him. He also said that he does not receive money from the state to hire his office staff which has left him struggling. The former president noted that he has been fueling the cars he uses which is a mandate of the State.

“I have had to share my security with my mum after they withdrew. We have had to hire private security guards. I am not receiving all retirement benefits, some of my staff do not have contracts, they don’t pay allowances to hire office, I fuel the cars. I however receive pension and I have security,” Former President Uhuru Kenyatta said.

Uhuru called for the interview after his name was dragged severally into the ongoing protests by Azimio. The attempted raid on his son’s house also angered him promoting him to clarify things. This revelation has revealed new details of the war between Uhuru and Ruto. The state could be after him after speculations said that he was sponsoring the Azimio protests.
