President William Ruto has affirmed that, he is aware and is privy to intelligence information that Uhuru and Raila wants to topple his government before August. The president is however clear that, he is ready and those who are trying him will face the consequences soon than they expected.
President Ruto is clear that Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have been funding demonstrations to distabilize the country with the imagination of a Coup. He wants the two leaders to prepare for a rough time ahead.

Ruto promised to roll out programs beneficial to the country before the demonstrations begin. However, he firmly rejected the idea of negotiating power- sharing with Raila and the opposition.
Raila, undeterred, mobilized his supporters in various regions to lead the demonstrations as planned. Despite Ruto’ s stance against power- sharing talks, Raila maintained that the protests would proceed, putting forth the demand for the government to address the cost of living concerns.
