The country is eagerly waiting for the dialogue between the government and the opposition to commence as the former retired president of Nigeria his excellency Olusegon Obasanjo leads the talk.
President William Ruto and the opposition coalition leader hon Raila Amollo Odinga have showed an interest of having a dialogue that will not only end the ongoing protests, but a cure for the violence that is witnessed in every election cycle.
Professor Herman Manyora, a political analyst , has given a true picture of who president Olusegon Obasanjo represent in this dialogue.
Giving a case scenario of what happened in the year 2007 after the general election, Manyora says that president Mwai Kibaki and hon Raila Amollo Odinga were not seeing each other eye to eye but with the help of Koffi Annan, a dialogue that yielded fruit was made possible.
Professor Manyora says that president Obasanjo is representing bigger voices in the dialogue and the dialogue between the president and the leader of opposition is due to the piling international pressure.
