A trader has given the government a notice to collect four high-end motor vehicles that have remained in the garage for more than five years.
The high-end vehicles also include two from the office of the Deputy President and the rest from other ministries.
In a gazette notice on September 27, 2024, the trader identified as Raptors Automotive Motor Works has given the state 30 days to collect the four vehicles or forfeit ownership of the particular automobiles.
“Notice is given pursuant to the Disposal of Uncollected Goods Act (Cap 38) of the laws of Kenya to the Principal Secretaries in the Ministries listed herein below who delivered the undermentioned vehicles for repairs/modifications at Raptor Automotive Motor Works Limited, and the vehicles have been lying there uncollected since 2019,” the notice reads in part.
Two vehicles from the office of the Deputy President and the State Department for Devolution are a Toyota Landcruiser pickup registration number GKB 895K and a Nissan Patrol GKA 264E.

A Toyota Prado from the Ministry of Health’s National AIDS and STI Control Programme (NASCOP) with the registration number GKB 393M is also a part of the vehicles that have been unclaimed since 2019.
Vehicles and motorbikes in stations
This comes hot on the heels of another notice where an auctioneer has advised owners of vehicles, motorcycles, and scrap metal to collect them in different police stations across the country in the next 30 days before they are sold.
In Shaurimoyo Polie Station, the auctioneer is urging owners of at least 30 motorcycles to collect their property in the police yard. Other items at the police station set for auction are a black mamba bicycle, a vehicle, and 300 pieces of plain blue t-shirts.
Elsewhere in Dandora Police station, the auctioneer has urged owners of a burnt shell of a Toyota Probox and owners of a Nissan March, a Peugeot, and at least 25 motorbikes to collect them from the station.
Also, a prime mover, a trailer, a canter Toyota Corolla, and a Nissan Note are due for collection from Subuiga Police Station in Nyeri.
In Kiserian Police Station, the auctioneer wants the owners of 13 motorcycles at the station to collect them, including a Toyota pickup, a brown container, and the shell of a Subaru car.
