The National Assembly Majority leader Hon Kimani Ichung’wah had now spoken tough against the Azimio La Umoja One-Kenya coalition top brass leaders as he comments on the intrigues behind the ceasefire dialogue.
The MP has now argued that on the early days of anti-government protests, Raila Odinga had personally approached the Head of State, Dr William Ruto with a list of five demands. The meeting was reportedly facilitated by Nigerian former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
During the meeting, the three leaders reportedly discussed and agreed to lay down reforms towards the reconstitution of IEBC, implementation of the two-third gender rule, the establishment of the Office of the Leader of the Opposition and the embedment of the Office of Prime Cabinet Secretary as well as the entrenchment of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Commenting on the issue of the cost of living that Azimio now claims to be top of the list of their agendas, Ichung’wah informed that that’s a scapegoat to hoodwink Kenyans.
Ichung’wah stated that the issue of the cost of living was never part of their agendas but he only used it as a mobilization tool to push for a power sharing deal with President Ruto.
On that regard, Ichung’wah angrily told the Azimio wing to go back to the streets if the five aforementioned agendas are not what to be discussed by the already formed 10-member committee.
The MP affirmed that the Kenya Kwanza administration will whatsoever not listen nor discuss matters pertaining creation of positions for the Azimio leaders.
