President William Ruto left the country on Wednesday for an official State visit to France where he was received by France President Emmanuel Macron and the Kenyan Delegation in France.
Attending the Global Pact Finance Summit, the President called for various reforms in the Finance sector that would ensure every country is given a fair treatment without discrimination in cadres like the East vs the West of the Developed vs the Developing nations. According to the President, having other bodies apart from the IMF and the World Bank would make it easy to deal with the climate change menace in the globe.
The meeting in the very essence was meant for the leaders to sit together and think of ways to create an all inclusive Financial system that would help deal with Climate change.
In her Thankyou message to President Ruto and Emmanuel Macron, Melinda French Gates who is former wife to Billionaire Bill Gates, did agree that reforms are indeed possible when leaders decide to take action.
“Real reform is possible when leaders take action. Thank you Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto for our conversation on public health and climate action to meet people’s needs. We face big challenges, but we can accelerate progress if we work together.”
The renown philanthropist also pledged to work together with the leaders and that will provide solution to to the big challenges of Public Health and Climate change.
