Today in the afternoon, reports have emerged that one of the famous leaders from the Mount Kenya region have announced her readiness to join president William Ruto’s UDA party which happens to be the ruling party in the republic of Kenya.
As reported by the star news, the governor of Meru county hon Kawira Mwangaza has announced that she is now willing and preparing to join the ruling party. Mwangaza said that her decision is due to people’s pressure on the ground following the call by the deputy president of this country hon Rigathi Gachagua who called her to join the party.
“Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has said she is considering joining President William Ruto’s UDA party.Mwangaza who was elected on an independent ticket trounced UDA’S Mithika Linturi and Azimio’s Kiraitu Murungi in the Meru governor polls.” Said that the report.
Hon Mwangaza became the only Mount Kenya governor to be elected on independent ticket. She managed to defeat hon Mithika linturi who was vying using the UDA ticket and hon Kiraitu Murungi who was defending his seat using the Azimio coalition. Hon Linturi was then appointed to be the minister of Agriculture while Kiraitu Murungi was appointed to the energy regulatory board by president William Ruto. Let’s wait to see if hon Kawira Mwangaza will join the ruling party.
