Former Nyeri senatorial hopeful Kabando Wa Kabando has challenged Cabinet Secretary for Interior Kithure Kindiki to resign from his position in bid to safeguard his integrity and person. In a statement through his Twitter account, the former Mukurwe-ini MP lauded Kindiki for his sobriety in dealing with complex matters in his ministry.Kindiki is presently a national hero and sensation following his clarion message to law enforcers regarding the manner in which they treat members of public during protests. Following the Saba Saba protest that left at least three Kenyans dead, properties destroyed and scores injured, Kindiki sent a warning shot to police officers who will use extra force on a Kenyan conducting himself on pretexts of the law.Unlike other pro-Ruto lieutenants who have called for stern actions to he taken against Odinga and Azimio entourage, Kindiki has remained neutral a stance that has earned him praises from all political divides. Police have been accused of using extra forces on unarmed Kenyans during protests. With Odinga looking forward to Wednesday, July 12 protests, Kabando wants Kindiki to follow the footsteps of Kibaki, Matiba and Jaramogi by stepping down from his position should the government fail to assimilate his school of thought in dealing with members of opposition and protests.
