Embattled Jubilee Party secretary-general Jeremiah Kioni has claimed that United Democratic Alliance government is vastly losing grassroot support owing to Ruto’s inability to lower the cost of living and keep his 2022 pre-poll manifesto.Speaking on Thursday, 3 August, the former Ndaragwa Member of Parliament warned Ruto from meddling with opposition affairs instead he challenged the Head of State to outperform Jubilee government on matters development and strengthening economy.
Despite of Kenya Kwanza being at the helm of country’s leadership, its leaders have hitherto lived heaping blames on the past regime saying they were responsible for the economic mess currently facing the country.
Kioni’s pronouncement comes at a time Ruto is facing criticism over his unpopular economic and leadership misadventures. Doubts have also been raised over the eligibility of some of the members of the cabinet who are allegedly pulling back Ruto’s efforts to actualize the plan.As Ruto works around the clock to realize his agenda, UDA Sec-Gen Cleophas Malala is traversing from one county to another registration new members. Ruto-led party targets to register at least 15 million members by 2027 election, this Malala said will help the man from Sugoi to join the ranks of Kibaki and Uhuru who did two presidential terms.
