New twist has emerged following what th second in command deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has announced. While speaking during a roundtable meeting with radio journalists in Kericho, Rigathi Gachagua indicated that President William Ruto’s administration resolved to focus on other priority issues rather than tracking down the accused. “You even saw that Ksh 6 billion was taken and looted through the Telkom deal. When we got into office, we resolved not to go after people because we did not have the time,” DP Gachagua claimed.
When queried whether president Ruto was aware of the country’s financial crisis before taking over from former President Uhuru Kenyatta, DP Gachagua expressed that the situation was more dire than they had initially anticipated.
And due to the high rate of corruption in the previous regime, the government of president William Ruto are planning on how to arrest former president Uhuru Kenyatta’s government officials who looted public funds.
