Son of Dictator Idi Amin has mourned the deceased who he claimed was his hero. Taking to his different social media platforms to mourn the deceased, this is what Idi amin’s son had to say.
On this day in 2003, I lost a true hero, and a loving father. But more importantly, Uganda lost the only leader who truly served this country and its people, and not himself.
He who actually developed Uganda and made the country thrive without any help from the World Bank, and yet he also left the country without a single debt. It’s time to shelve all the elaborate excuses that dependency syndrome of the weak, the corrupt, the selfish and the greedy, a mental slavery disease which is simply weakening our resolve as a united country to fight harder for our own development, and stand stronger for the betterment of the future for our own children!
What are you as an African with no sense of shame, without any values, without any honour, no self respect, and without sovereignty in your own country, simply thinking of “eating” anything like a scavenger of rot? And what is an African country that doesn’t stand for anything, not even for itself as a nation of peoples with a culture and history? What exactly was our plan to end dependency on aid, and when? In fact what did the nations forefathers demand Uganda’s independence for.
Taking to his different social media platforms to express his opinion on this topic, this is what Ekuru Aukot had to say.
Brother Lumumba, I grew up hearing stories about how a bad dictator your father was. But when I travelled to Ajumani, Moyo, Palorinya, and Gulu areas of northern Uganda, sometimes in 1997/8, there was plenty of evidence of development projects during the reign of Idi Amin. There were schools, hospitals, boreholes, etc. Somehow, people missed him!.
