DP Gachagua Threatens Kimani Ichungwah If Kenya Kwanza Lose to Azimio In Bipartisan Talks

Kenya Kwanza and Azimio la Umoja are two significant concepts in the context of Kenyan history and politics. Kenya Kwanza, which translates as “Kenya First” in English, is a nationalist slogan that emerged during the struggle for independence in the mid- Today, the bipartisan teams of the One Kenya Coalition are scheduled to convene their inaugural meeting.

Addressing the audience in Nyeri, where the Deputy President has been accompanying President William Ruto on a visit of the Mt Kenya region, the Deputy President issued a cautionary message to the Majority Leader in the National Assembly, emphasizing the potential severe repercussions should he choose to betray his principles during the forthcoming Kenya Kwanza-Azimio negotiations.

Gachagua, who is commonly referred to as ‘The Truthful Man,’ asserted to a Kikuyu Member of Parliament that he acquired his spouse in Nyeri. Furthermore, he conveyed his intention to relocate with his wife and children in the event of an electoral defeat.

The president has entrusted you with the job of managing these individuals. One should refrain from succumbing to the temptation of compromising one’s principles for personal gain. Avoid using persuasive tactics with them. According to Deputy President Gachagua, Kimani obtained his spouse from the region of Nyeri. Gachagua further warned that if one were to venture into a situation where they could potentially be trapped, their spouse and offspring would be seized, leaving them in solitude.

The bipartisan team known as Azimio la Umoja is currently under the leadership of Kalonzo Musyoka, the head of the Wiper Party, and Opiyo Wundayi, the Minority leader in the National Assembly.

On the preceding day, Raila Odinga, the head of the opposition, augmented his team by enlisting the support of Jeremiah Kioni, the Secretary General of the Jubilee party.
