Defense CS Breaks Silence And Says This About A Video Of A Sudan General Daring President Ruto

Defense Minister Aden Duale has for the first time responded to a video of a Sudan General daring President William Ruto to intervene militarily in the Sudan conflict that. In the video that went viral a few weeks ago, General Yasir Alata accused President Ruto of being partial in the Sudan conflict that has now lasted for months.

Speaking in the National Assembly where he was invited to respond to issues about his ministry, the CS stated that he is not allowed to respond to the General’s sentiments because the issue does not touch his docket. “The matter you are asking me is more of the Interior Ministry. My business as the Defence Minister is to protect the territorial integrity of our country,” Aden Duale stated.

However, the CS did not shun away from commenting on the issue saying that the viral video should be treated with the contempt that it deserves. He went ahead and said that if it was a Kenyan General in the Defence Force who uttered such sentiments, he/she would have been in jail.

“That video of the leader of the ‘Sudan National Forces’ should be treated with the contempt it deserves. That is not how military officers worldwide communicate. If he was a member of Kenya Defence Forces he would have appeared before a court martial and by now he would have been in jail,” said the Defence CS.
