Raila’s call to have massive today on Wednesday 12th seems to have gained momentum, as various media stations have already aired news on counties that have experienced intense demonstration.
So far as updated by our Kenyan newsrooms, demonstration have been reported in several counties as follows; Kisii County, Mombasa County, Nyeri County which is also Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s rural hometown, some parts of Nairobi County, Kisumu county, Busia county, Uasin Gishu County which is President Ruto’s turf and Homabay County.
However, according to sources all those counties named above chaos have been reported with residents engaging police officers in running battles and also blocking major roads. As a result of that, transport has been paralyzed as businesses remain closed.
All this is contrary to what Orange Democratic Party leader Hon Raila Odinga and his Azimio counterpart promised.
Now,if public or private properties are destroyed today then those found and arrested by officers will have to face the law. Raila and his team should call off tye demonstrations if they are no longer peaceful.
Nevertheless, President Ruto’s regime should now engage the opposition team so that they can call of protests, in order to have a mutual understanding.
