President William Ruto has threatened tough consequences for corrupt governors and other government officials. The president is clear that once a leader is caught up in matters corruption, they must forget calling him for help for that will never happen.
President Ruto is however clear that, corruption will not be fought based on political affiliations but merit and the law. He is clear that, Impunity in some counties is the biggest impediment to devolution.

President Ruto is clear that, some of the governors are under investigations because of corruption but he has allowed the law to take it’s course. He has warned the governors who regard themselves as his friends against corrupt practices thinking they will be shielded.
President Ruto is firm that, the state agencies have a right to strongly and effectively stop the nonsense of corruption. The president is however clear that, the biggest channel of fighting corruption is to seal the loopholes and enhance accountability on public resources.
