Cabinet Secretary for Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs Salim Mvurya has lectured Raila Odinga for reaching agreement with President Ruto as he omitted the cost of living from his talks.
The CS questioned on why Raila Odinga forces himself to the government of the day in every general election even after the Supreme Court rules on the presidential petition. He has claimed that he thought that the demonistrations were centered on the cost of living but after seeing the agendas to be discussed in the dialogue he was left dumbfounded.
“Tayari kwa timu yake wanamtoroka kwa sababu mazungumzo ambayo wanayataka hakuna agenda ya garama ya maisha. I don’t want you President Ruto to be arm twisted because you are the winner of last year’s general elections, Kwa hivyo tukienda mazungumzo watu wasianze kusema wanaongea na Mr Ruto waseme wanaongea na President Ruto, tusikue na tabia ati Kila uchaguzi tuwe na mazungumzo, na tusitishwe ati Rais kama hataongea na nani ati nchi itapauka,” CS Mvurya said.
He has then called President Ruto to stay strong and enjoy his win in peace without being blackmailed by people who are only pushing their own agendas in the slated talks.
