The country is currently under the Kenya Kwanza Administration that is under the leadership of president William Ruto who is the chief commander of the armed forces.
On the other side, the country is also having a strong opposition camp called Azimio-One Kenya coalition headed by the former prime minister Raila Odinga.
The two parties have experienced differences since last year after the hotly contested race for presidency that saw Azimio losing to Kenya Kwanza.
Recently, the opposition side launched Tumechoka Citizen initiative where collection of signatures has been ongoing. According to Odinga, they have so far collected 8.5 million signatures from the citizens to help push for the ouster of the president.
On the other side to counter the opposition’s Tumechoka Citizen Initiative, the Kenya Kwanza administration also launched an initiative dubbed Baba Tumechoka that has also collected a number of signatures from Kenyans.
According to Dennis Itumbi who is a close ally of president Ruto has stated that they have so far managed to collect 7.6 million signatures.
