According to the reports reaching my desk from Kenyans.co.ke, citizens have invaded the land owned by former Kenyan athlete Kipchoge Keino in Eldoret. The reports have indicated that the invaders have claimed a share of the land alleging that the land belongs to them.However,Kipchoge’s son has claimed that his father bought the land in 1972.
In 1990,a case emerged before it was solved amicably by the court,he wonders why they have now decided to invade the land forcefully without following the law.The reports have further indicated that Kipchoge bought the land and he followed the right procedure in acquiring the land.It is surprising to see citizens invading people’s properties forcefully.
