Bipartisan Team Demands the Senate to Convene a Special Sitting as Soon as Possible to Discuss This

The Azimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance bipartisan talks leader hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka together with his counterpart from the Kenya kwanza government, the majority leader in the national assembly hon Kimani Ichungwa have successfully convened their teams for the second seating of the bipartisan talks.

First seating of the bipartisan dialogue was held last week on Wednesday where the members laid the agendas of the meeting and laid the ground rules.

During today’s meeting, both the Kenya Kwanza and the opposition,agreed that the leadership of the national assembly and that of the national senate will process a motion that will legally establish the bipartisan dialogue team.

It was concluded that since the national assembly is on session, the motion will be established in course of the week.

However, since the national senate is on recess, a special sitting will be conveyed as soon as possible to ensure that there will be no delay.

The next sitting for the bipartisan talks has been scheduled on Monday 21st August 2023 at the Bomas of Kenya at exactly 10:00 am.
