Bipartisan talks are going well. Things have been going well since President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanzaa and Raila Odinga’s Azimuo team selected Kimani Ichunwa and Kalonzo Musyoka to lead the team in all-party talks, many Kenyans was definitely expecting a good result.
But the bipartisan talks turned inconclusive after lobby groups called on Raila Odinga’s team to raise the issue of police brutality after scores of people were shot dead during protests. It seems possible that this is the case, but this was not definitive. case case is something that has been discussed before and there is no doubt that if it is discussed between Azimio and Kenya Kwanzaa it may not go well.
The lobbying group said on its official Telegram page that it wants the dialogue committee to discuss the illegal use of deadly police force, extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances, The Standard reported.
